Collaborators

DR. ALAN LUTENEGGER

Engineer and Professor of Civil and Environmental Engineering at the University of Massachusetts Amherst. Dr. Lutenegger works with Hyperion and Diversified as their civil engineer for solar projects all over Massachusetts. Dr. Lutenegger determines if the ground and soil are suitable for holding the SSL poles in place by performing an ‘uplift test’.

SCHOOL OF ENGINEERING – DEPARTMENTS OF INDUSTRIAL AND MECHANICAL ENGINEERING

Hyperion is collaborating with both engineering departments at UMass Amherst by sponsoring teams of students in the Mechanical and Industrial Engineering Department for their senior design capstone projects. The relationship with Hyperion is providing sponsorship for the teams of students who receive “real world” training with Hyperion’s solar products. The faculty and students, just as importantly, collaborate with STEM Team members to integrate engineering concepts into the SSL curriculum being developed.
